Customs Street Residential Diaphragm Walls

The Customs Street Residential diaphragm walls (D-walls) project which commenced in mid-September
2017 and concluded in late February 2018 involved the manufacture of 26 prefabricated D-wall cages.

The longest D-wall measured 19 metres in length with a width of 5.7 metres, and the total combined
weight of the D-walls measured 700 tonnes.

This project had 20 Steel fixers working at any single time with two to three steel fixers on site. Capping beams which will be fitted on top of the diaphragm walls will be supplied by mid-April.
