PROJECT COMPLETION

Late 2018

The City Rail Link (CRL) project, the largest infrastructure project ever to be undertaken in New Zealand is a 3.45km twin-tunnel underground rail link below the city centre transforming the downtown Britomart Transport Centre in a two-way through-station that better connects the Auckland rail network.

Complete Reinforcing’s part in this project commenced in February 2018 where we were tasked to complete all reinforcing for the CRL tunnel (C2 stage). The C2 stage is 350 metres in length, similar to other metro stations in major cities around the world.

The total tonnage of this project is 2500 tonnes and is split into 3 parts, the base slab which is 17 metres below road level, the vertical slab which includes 3 walls and the roof slab. Work is undertaken in 29 twelve metre sections. Complete Reinforcing’s part in this project will conclude in late 2018.
